Aleen Andreou
Workshop Title: The Charlie Chaplin Way

Workshop Description:

Let’s get serious, and talk about why leading with humor is highly beneficial.

Yet finding our funny bone may be a challenge when things get tough and painful. By playing with his own pain and that of the underdog, Charlie Chaplin  created legendary comedy. In doing so, he offered hope and joy to thousands during some of Europe’s darkest hours. Join this  workshop, and  explore how we can find humour in challenging situations to pave the way for new perspectives, solutions and a lot more.

Biography

In her school leaving report, Aleen's headmaster predicted that she would do well in anything requiring communication skills. Almost in defiance of that, Aleen went on to read Mathematics in the UK and became a Maths teacher. However opportunities for communication kept coming up. She joined PeopleAchieve three decades ago, and trained to become a coach and facilitator. She works both in Cyprus and the Middle East, in the areas of business communication, presentation skills, leadership and stress management. Away from work, Aleen has been a keen Toastmaster, and YLP leader. She loves theatre, and has acted in several plays and a few films. She is the co-founder of 2 improv groups and has recently tried her hand at stand-up-comedy.
